Extended Opening Hours

Available specifically for people who work and find it difficult to attend the surgery in the daytime.

The Bridges Medical Centre has extended hours until 7.30pm on Monday evenings.

Littlemoor Surgery has extended hours until 7.30pm on Wednesday evenings.

When We Are Closed

When the surgery is closed, for urgent medical situations, call the Urgent Care Service on 111.  Calls are free from both landlines and mobile phones.

Trained staff will ask you more about your problem and, with you, decide the best option for you.

Depending on the severity of your condition, this might be:

  • Advice over the phone
  • A visit to to the local treatment centre, or
  • A home visit by the nurse, doctor or paramedic

Out of hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999.  Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
